Hoi An Cooking Class

Cycle out of Hoi An's old town to a family lantern workshop, learn the craft from the artisan who runs it, make your own lantern from scratch, and ride back with it. Two hours, bicycle and all materials included.

Four hours on a bicycle through the villages outside Hoi An's old town: Tra Que herb gardens, areca palm villages, shrimp farms, Thu Bon river tributaries, and a stop at a local café before the easy ride back.

A full day from Hoi An into the jungle valley of My Son: Tra Kieu ancient capital, the Champa temple ruins, a traditional Cham dance performance, a boat along the Thu Bon River, and the carpentry village that built Hoi An's old town. Lunch and all entrance fees included.

Hoi An's central market, the nipa palm canals of Cam Thanh, a spinning bamboo basket boat, and a hands-on cooking class using what you chose at the stalls. Half a day, hotel pick-up included.
